Was waiting for the LRT at Punggol yesterday
and
overheard this family conversation
(I'm not eavesdropping, they were standing right in front of me)
Mother: "They are going to start the
LRT on the opposite side, next Monday."
Son: "Why are they doing that?"
Mother: "Because the god said so!!~"
Son: "......."
Mother: " Why do you ask such stupid question, they start because they start
lar!!"
Son: "...."
Mother: "Because you ask stupid question, I have to give you stupid answer."
Daughter: *Laugh out loud*
Son : "Ya
lar, Ya
lar, I am dumb, stupid and idiotic."
Mother: " Yes, you are."
I stared at the mother and gave her a disapproving look. She shrugged uncomfortably and look away. At that point of time, I was hopping she would ask me why I'm staring at her, so that I would give her a piece of my mind. (I wasn't in a good mood.)
This is what I am gonna say:
Firstly, the train on the opposite side definitely operates for sensible reasons like -
1) To cater to the overwhelming crowds that seems to be increasing in numbers during peak hours.
2) When the
LRT moves in two different directions, it allows people living in different areas to reach home faster.
Secondly, God is not so free as to guide humans on operating the
LRT system. If God were to have any spare time on hands, he would have knock some sense into you.
Thirdly, your son is the most intelligent child in the world. He did not ask stupid questions, you were just not smart enough to answer him and sad to say, instead of doing some referencing and gaining more general knowledge, you push the blame onto your son and made him feel like an complete idiot. Our world is lacking of geniuses because of morons like you, who cannot provide your son with sensible answers.
